If this story was not true, it seems that it could have been taken directly
from the script of a B-rated science fiction movie, when immediately
upon his death in Florida at an elderly age, a once outstanding baseball
star and hero is whisked away in a private jet to be cryonically frozen
at a laboratory somewhere in Arizona.
Should this plot be in another Austin Powers movie, or in a
film such
as "Sleeper" by Woody Allen? Or, perhaps it was derived in
part from
the novel "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley.
NO ONE CAN CREATE LIFE AFTER DEATH
The plot thickens, whereby the laboratory indicates eventually at some
future date they will be able to revive, repair, and restore to
life deceased,
decapitated and frozen individuals (see the "Questions" and "Treatment"
pages). At the same time, family members attempt to secure the
release
of this hero's body from its cryonics condition, have the remains
given
proper treatment with respect and dignity, and handled in accordance
with
his final 1996 will. As the scenes continue to unfold, family
members are
unsuccessful with a custody case and exhaust their funds in the
process.
Here is where you come into this modern American tragedy, and
now
it is "your turn at bat" to help correct this injustice.
JOIN THE INVESTIGATION TEAM
The objective is to have Ted Williams' body released from this laboratory
by requesting that the Attorney General of Arizona investigate its
operations
under the state's Consumer Protection Fraud Act, which is administered
through that office. Many visitors to this website have already
done so, and their interest and support are appreciated.
At issue here is the claim of being able to revive, repair, and restore
an
already deceased, decapitated, and frozen individual.
Whether one's
viewpoints are secularly or biblically based, it is impossible
to recreate life once it is gone and an individual is clearly deceased.
The claim of such restoration is unproven and should be subject
to investigation.
You can send investigation
request forms to the Arizona AG's office, either a Support Form by email or mail, or detailed Complaint
Form by mail. Forms are posted on this website (see navigation
bar).
Several articles on this website provide additional information
on the disposition of Ted Williams.
MISUSE OF LIFE INSURANCE
Another issue concerns the promotion of life insurance for use by cryonics
clients to finance the treatment process. There appears to be a
potential conflict in the purpose of such applications as outlined in the article,"Vinny, Vidi, Vici," February 2005, posted on this website.
Investigation of this questionable insurance practice should be of interest
to national regulators and private policy providers.
FROM A RELIGIOUS PERSPECTIVE
The technical aspects of cryonics are highly questionable, and from
a religious perspective it is impossible.
For individuals who are knowledgeable about biblical verses, they should
be aware of this notable passage in Luke 16:26 which states in Jesus' words the following regarding the hereafter, "And
besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from
here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us."
For those who follow doctrine
of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, such as the former CEO and President of the cryonics firm, they should be familiar
with SDA Fundamental Belief #26, "Until that day death is an unconscious state for all people." [until Jesus appears] Once deceased, the human spirit
or soul cannot return to its previous form.

and, "Playing on Abraham's Side," May 2006, posted on this website; and the
webpage "Hereafter" (see navigation bar).
OBSERVATIONS AND REFLECTIONS
As in this case, no one can create life after death, especially when
an
individual has been declared legally dead, then decapitated and
frozen.
Promises of immortality are just that, and have endured for millennium,
this being a more recent technological version.
However, this "promise" is further complicated by the cryonics firm's
promotion of life insurance for its clients to finance such treatment.
The objective of cryonics is directly contradictory to the purpose
of life insurance, and is of questionable legality.
When an organization and individuals engage in actions which are clearly incorrect,
it is difficult to achieve modification of that behavior. In fact,
given human nature, they often become more entrenched in that activity.
The concepts and approaches regarding these issues presented herein to achieve resolution need to be expressed.
